There was a season in my life where my system became extremely sensitive.
After a serious COVID hospitalization, mold and mycotoxin exposure, mitochondrial stress, and the process of coming off long-term SSRI use, my body did not respond the way it used to.
The hardest part was not just fatigue, stress, or feeling off.
It was that my central nervous system felt dysregulated.
My threshold became narrow. Things that should have helped could feel like too much. A normal dose of a supplement could feel overstimulating. A product marketed as "clean" or "healthy" could still push my system too hard. Even well-intended support sometimes felt like more stress on a body that was already trying to recover.
I started learning more about my own biology, including slow COMT, MTHFR, and other genetic patterns that can affect how a person responds to methylation support, stress, stimulation, detoxification pathways, and mitochondrial demands.
What I began to see was that none of it was isolated.
The nervous system, mitochondria, methylation, histamine response, gut function, sleep, stress tolerance, detox capacity, environmental load, and recovery all seemed connected.
And that led me to one question:
